Rathescar Grove is already the kind of place where mornings move slower — farmland out one window, the Cooley and Mourne mountains out the other. A couples getaway
Book the Room with Private Balcony — farmland, cattle grazing below, mountains behind — and let one of you slip off for an hour while the other reads on the balcony, or go together and compare notes after. Their Wellness Spa Ritual (1 hour, €100) or the longer Face and Body Spa Ritual (2 hrs 15, €190) both work well as a "middle of the stay" pause rather than something to squeeze in on the way home.
Treat your partner
Sometimes the nicest part of a trip away is doing something for the other person. If your partner's the one who never quite gets around to booking anything for themselves, this is an easy way to sort it — a Tranquil View Ritual booked in for one afternoon, complementary hand, arm or scalp massage included, the rest of the stay still yours to spend however you like.
A girls' trip
The Family Room sleeps up to four (king bed plus bunks), so it works just as well for a group of friends as it does for a family — and with the Deluxe and Balcony rooms both close by, a bigger group can easily book across all three. Ring Tranquil View together and get everyone's Ritual booked back-to-back, or stagger it through the weekend so someone's always free to explore Monasterboice, Newgrange or the walks nearby while you wait your turn.
